About us

Established in 2024, the African Agricultural and Forestry Research Center (AFREC) is a non-profit scientific research organization that conducts research on the use and management of Agriculture and forests with a focus on crops resistance low water in Somalia. AFREC is a premier research institution dedicated to advancing agricultural and forestry practices across Somalia and reaching gratuale to the Africa countries. AFREC is private research body created in February 2024 to respond to the current need for the people in order to research and developing, sustained, strengthen, and promote assurance food and feed.

 

We are dedicated to enhance sustainable agricultural productivity and forest management through cutting-edge research, innovation, and capacity building. This organizational profile outlines our strategic focus areas, specifically in developing a comprehensive research plan for field crops, fodder crops, vegetable crops, and trees for forests.

We are targeting scientific research, technology, conservation and use of biodiversity in agriculture, forestry, adaptation to climate change and rural economy in order to ensure agricultural production, forestry and rural development in a green and clean direction to be sustainable.

 

AFREC’s services include a varied range of research, advisory solutions, training programmers and extension services can influence transformational changes to individuals, professionals, and producers enabling them to improve productivity and generate a solid market income.
